Marble Steps Pot, Kingsdale

BONES: (1)unidentified bones, domestic cattle (see below) caudal vertebra of dog or fox. (2) Pig, Wild Boar, Wolf and large cat.

POSITION IN CAVE: (1) On the floor of a chamber reached via a traverse and a 6 m bolt route from the Upper Main Chamber. (2) Upper Main Chamber - a rising rift leads into a flat-out crawl containing bones.

IDENTIFICATION: none

LOCATION OF FINDS: in situ.

NOTES: A proximal domestic cattle tibia from an unknown location in the cave was identified by T. Lord. The bone showed cut marks. The caudal vertebra was found in a steeply descending rift off the main chamber.
