Aquamole Pot, Kingsdale


NGR: SD 6992 7834

BONES: "upper right molar (M1) of a large bovid, probably bison (Bison priscus) or auroch (Bos primigenius) or, much less likely, musk ox (Ovibos moschatus)". "rib fragment may belong to the same animal or a large ruminant of similar size"

POSITION IN CAVE: In a deposit of sorted pebbles in a horizontal series of passages approximately 50 m above the sumped level.

LOCATION OF FINDS: -

NOTES: The finds were made by climbing from the West Kingsdale phreas - the surface entrance was opened by digging approximately 20 years later (Skorupka, 2002)
